Join us for an insightful exploration into the vital, often unseen, world of soil microbes and their profound impact on our planet. Discover the intricate links between this hidden life, the resilience of our food production, the climate change and the potential for a truly sustainable future.

We will explore the transformative power of regenerative agriculture and its potential to contribute to the UK’s Net Zero targets. Discover how each of us, whether as a large-scale grower, passionate home gardener, or mindful consumer, can contribute to fostering healthier soil and a more resilient environment.

The event will be available online or in-person at RISC World Shop and Global Refills, 35-39 London Street Reading RG1 4PS

For the in-person event, following the presentation and an engaging Q&A session, we invite you to get hands-on and witness the incredible diversity of soil microbes through microscopes. We’ll have compost, compost extract, and soil samples ready for observation. We also warmly encourage you to bring your own compost or soil samples to explore the unique microbial communities thriving in your local environment!
